La Isla de Los Lobos was initially named after the sea wolve (los lobos del mar) populations that inhabited the island.

Today, it's home to a fantastic variety of sea birds that nest in its cliffs and rocks and prey on the fish in the surrounding waters.

You'll find all kinds here including: Cory's Shearwater, Storm Petrels, Little Shearwaters, Bulwer's Petrel, Ospreys and Caspian Gulls…to name but a few.

If you're lucky you might get to see the arrival of the migratory birds. At certain periods during the year, the island becomes overwhelmed by Common Terns, Blue Herons, Egret Herons, Curlews and many more...

It's an amazing sight; any bird-watcher would be in his element.

You might even get to see one of the extremely rare and endangered birds that have made the island their home. These include: the Hubara Bustard, the Cream Coloured Cursor and the Great Grey Shrike along with various others.

Other characters to watch out for are the Haria Lizard and the Crocodile Ghecko; they’re both a bit scary looking but charming at the same time.
